First Year

Konstantinos received his B.A. in History and Archaeology from the National University of Athens in 2021, and his M.A. in Maritime Studies from East Carolina University in 2024 while on a Fulbright fellowship. His thesis was entitled “Mapping Trade by Shipwrecks: An Analysis of Amphora Assemblages from Fourni Archipelago (Aegean)”.

With a dual background in terrestrial and underwater archaeology, Konstantinos developed an interest in combining both worlds with a holistic narrative regarding trade and economy in Late Antiquity within the Mediterranean. Among his strongest interests are the economic implications of maritime trade and the underlying networks that facilitated production, distribution, and consumption from a “Bottom-Up” perspective of the Greco-Roman world.
