In this presentation Jennifer Sacher will outline the publication process and offer practical advice on successfully navigating the stages that lead to publication. Discussion will touch upon best research and writing practices, selecting a venue, peer review, and artwork and image permissions. Questions are encouraged and welcome!

Jennifer Sacher currently serves as the Editor of Hesperia, the journal of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. Her career in publishing spans nearly 20 years, with a focus on both monographs and journal articles in the fields of classical archaeology and classical studies. She holds degrees in Classics and Archaeology from the University of Cincinnati and Washington University in St. Louis, and she is also a proud attendee of the Penn Post-Bacc program. Jennifer takes pride in helping authors bring their ideas to print, especially early career researchers, and she believes in the positive impact of demystifying the publication process for both new and experienced authors.
